1001 Hardfacing Rod

Special high temperature alloy formulation designed to produce hard coating which resists “softening” at elevated temperature service combined with low coefficient of friction. Excellent weld ability. Non Magnetic weld deposit will not gall, score or seize in service. Ideal for applications involving metal to metal contact. Deposits can be ground to close tolerance to a smooth, highly polished finish.

Applications:

It can be used on steels, stainless steels, cast iron, nickel and nickel alloys. Recommended uses include all applications where frictional and abrasive wear are severe. Other applications include cams, screws, ceramic die cutters, patterns, dies, tools, etc.
