308 L Stainless Steel Welding Electrode

DHATVIK 308 L is a Cr-Ni austenitic stainless steel low heat input electrode with extra low carbon suitable for welding of AISI 308 L/308/304, 302, 301 type stainless steels. Especially Cr-Ni chemistry gives controlled ferrite content in weld deposit which offers excellent resistance to cracking, corrosion and high temperature. Excellent arc stability, easy slag removal, smooth weld bead appearance with radiographic quality. Due to extra low carbon, weld deposit reduces the possibilities of carbide precipitation and increases the resistance to inter-granular corrosion.

Applications :

Typical applications include welding of AISI 308 L/308/304, 302, 301 type stainless steels. For fabrication of Stainless steel structures and assemblies such as pipe fitting, plate, vessels, tanks, forging and castings in Chemical, Power, Petrochemical, Pharmaceuticals, paper processing plants, Food, Dairy, Distillery industries, Restaurant Equipment, etc. Also used as protective overlay on steel where complete corrosion resistance is required.
